WHAT WE ARE ABOUT

to Know Christ and Make Him Known.

We are a non-denominational, Reformed churcH.

Everything we do flows from a few core commitments. We hold tightly to God’s Word as our foundation. We value worship as a response to who God is. We care about reaching people with the gospel, both locally and beyond. We believe in doing life together, not just attending services. We depend on prayer, not just plans. And we’re intentional about caring for every generation, making sure no one is overlooked.

a place to belong. you’re welcome here.

OUR STORY

Who We Are

East Lake Community Church began in 2016 in a pastor’s living room, where a small group gathered around a simple but compelling desire: to know Christ, to grow in Christ, and to go as Christ sends.

As the group expanded, living rooms could no longer contain what God was doing, and the church found itself meeting outdoors—growing, adapting, and trusting Him with every step.

In 2017, God opened new doors for this young congregation, first at Camp Challenge and later that year at Building Futures Academy. Then, in 2018, an old Corvette shop on Highway 46 became home for the next six years. A space once built for a different purpose was transformed into a place where truth was preached, lives were changed, and a vibrant community took root.

In 2020, God did something entirely unexpected: He entrusted East Lake with 10 acres of property and a larger vision—not only for where the church was, but for where He was leading it. This became the foundation for expanding His work throughout East Lake County.

What began in a living room is now stepping into a new season. As the church moves into a brand‑new building, it does so with a renewed commitment to be a non‑denominational reformed church, deeply rooted in the Word and actively engaged in the world around it.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Jesus

The Bible is our absolute authority. We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Everyone is a sinner by both nature and experience, and is therefore spiritually dead, separated from God. Man can do nothing to redeem himself from his sinful condition. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and that He is all the fullness of God in bodily form. We believe that Jesus died as a substitutional sacrifice for man’s sin and that salvation is received only by grace through faith in Him. Salvation is a free gift, totally apart from human merit. We believe that regeneration produces a new birth in Christ. The indwelling Holy Spirit eternally seals the believer and equips him for service. Our Core Values

Know • Grow • Go

Know

We know God through His Word, through worship, and through a real relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything begins with the Bible as our foundation and authority for life.

Grow

We grow through relationships and discipleship. We believe spiritual growth happens best in community as we learn, pray, serve, and walk through life together.

Go

We go with the love and message of Jesus into our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and the world. Through missions, outreach, and everyday faithfulness, we want to make Christ known wherever God sends us.

Our Vision

Our vision, first and foremost, is to glorify God in all we do.

This Church is Christ's Church, He is the head and we are the body. We must be obedient to the heavenly vision declared by Paul in Acts 26:16-19. This means winning the lost to Christ & building up His Church.  "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain" Psalm 127:1. We operate from the belief that the Church is not a building but His people. We also operate from the belief that a Church better operates without a financial debt.

God blessed us with 10 acres of land at 23405 SR 44. We are grateful to own this property entirely free of debt, and we hold the firm conviction that God has entrusted this land to us for His purposes. As part of our commitment to stewarding it faithfully, we believe He is leading us to construct a new church building on this site—establishing a place where His people can gather, worship, and serve our community in accordance with His will. The property is in a prime area. It sits near the Sorrento Springs, Red Tail, and Black Bear communities, along with numerous additional housing developments. It is also just minutes from the Publix shopping center, which has become a central hub for the surrounding community.
